How It All Began? (Click to read more about us)

It was in Nazareth, Galilee, which the Angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary to announce the birth of Jesus:

“The Angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin…and the virgin’s name was Mary…And he came to her and said, “Hail, O favored one, the lord is with you!…And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.” Luke I

The History of Nazareth:
Nazareth, the site of the first Christian event is where it all began.
At that time, two millennia ago, Nazareth was a mere village: a few hovels located on a low hill overlooking a small valley.

Nazareth at Jesus Christ time:

According to Mark we learn that one of Jesus earliest journeys takes him to The Jordan River and to John the Baptist.

"At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by john in the Jordan River" (Mark 1:9).

According to Luke, Nazareth was the native town of Jesus and Matthew claims that Josef and Marry came to Nazareth from Egypt.

"And he went and lived in a town called a Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: he will be called a Nazarene" (Matthew 2:23).

It isn’t surprising, when investigating the word Nazarene it sound similar to the Hebrew

Word – Netzer or Nezer which means "shoot", "Branch" refers to the scion from the roots of Jesse, King David's Father.

"A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a branch will bear fruit" (Isaiah 11:1)
